On love, not harming others, and respecting all beings. Even animals have these elements in their behavioral patterns. We should start by observing how animals act. They are honest and appreciate it when we are honest with them. If you present something nice to an animal in one hand while hiding a rope in the other, the creature will know your intention. Yet animals have no religion, no constitution. Basic nature has endowed them with the faculty of discernment. It is the same for humans.
It is important to pray for peace... But you must also take actions to make that happen. Every single day.
Your friend, your enemy, your neutral all are equal. Genuine compassion is unbiased.

Basically, a human being is a social animal. So, if you create some short moment of happiness for people, you get deep satisfaction.
Sectarian feelings and criticism of other teachings or other sects is very bad, poisonous, and should be avoided.
To remain indifferent to the challenges we face is indefensible. If the goal is noble, whether or not it is realized within our lifetime is largely irrelevant. What we must do therefore is to strive and persevere and never give up.
Once your mind is calm and full of love, there is no room for hatred or fear. Others will trust you because of your open heart.
It is not enough to be compassionate. You must act. There are two aspects to action. One is to overcome the distortions and afflictions of your own mind, that is, in terms of calming and eventually dispelling anger. This is action out of compassion. The other is more social, more public. When something needs to be done in the world to rectify the wrongs, if one is really concerned with benefitting others, one needs to be engaged, involved.
If you make your best effort to be kinder, nurture compassion, make the world a better place, then you can say 'At least I've done my best.'
Every human should have the idea of taking care of the environment, of nature, of water. So using too much or wasting water should have some kind of feeling or sense of concern. Some sort of responsibility and with that, a sense of discipline.
