Freedom alone is not enough without light to read at night, without time or access to water to irrigate your farm, without the ability to catch fish to feed your family.

To him who disgraces his family life is no life, and to such a person there is no one a friend, neither while living nor when dead.

Children, we should visit homes of the poor, orphanages and hospitals from time to time. We should take our family members along and offer assistance and look after the welfare of inmates. A word spoken with love and concern will give them more comfort than any amount of money. That will lead to the expansion of our hearts as well.

God, provide me with enough sustenance that my family is taken care of, that neither I remain hungry, nor does my guest go unfed.

What others think of us is not our concern - it is their concern... It is important only that we radiate life. Every individual must be a joy to himself, to his family and to his society.

The way you help heal the world is you start with your own family.

The actions of the great masters are always in reference to the entire world as one family. This is the religion I teach. It’s profound and worth studying. I can’t explain to you in one sitting like this, but it’s ancient, timeless.

It was most essential for me to have a normal life in the real world as a counterpoise to that strange inner world. My family and my profession remained the base to which I could return.
