Kriya Yoga Quotes
I saw a pure Void, that is Brahma, the ultimate Self. The mind must be dissolved in It.
Be regular in your practice. Moderation is essential. Study a little, but meditate more.
Nobody is a sinner; the mind itself is the sinner when it becomes outward away from the Kutastha.
My form is everywhere; there is nobody except me, and that form is in Void. There is no day and night there.
God made us angels of energy, encased in solids - currents of life dazzling through a material bulb of flesh.
Meet everybody and every circumstance on the battlefield of life with the courage of a hero and the smile of a conqueror.
The existence of the ‘Self’ is the true miracle within you. If you do not realize your ‘Self’, then you do not do yourself justice.
Remember this: When I am gone, only love can take my place. Be absorbed night and day in the love of God, and give that love to all.
As water by cooling and condensation becomes ice, so thought by condensation assumes physical form. Everything in the universe is thought in material form.
When breath flows through the right nostril, the body, mind, and brain power are all active and when it flows through the left, usually the mind is less active and dull.
The true basis of religion is not belief, but intuitive experience. Intuition is the soul’s power of knowing God. To know what religion is really all about, one must know God.
If you write in reverse order and see it in the mirror, it looks straight. Similarly, if you make reverse the breath of the body, then you will see Swarupa, the form of your self.
Just behind the darkness of closed eyes shines the light of God. When you behold that light in meditation, hold onto it with devotional zeal. Feel yourself inside it: That is where God dwells.
Satyayuga is the After-effect-poise of Kriya; tretayuga is the temporary After-effect-poise of Kriya; dwaparayuga is to practice Kriya; and when one does not practice I, it is kaliyuga for him.
When the mango is ripe you do not need to announce it; one can tell by its smell and its color, and it separates from the tree. Be ripe in your thoughts and emotions. Grow inwardly in love and devotion.
If your mind remains below, in the lower centers of delusion, illusion, and error, then you will get bondage, and if you come above, to the higher centers, you will get liberation. You have to work and struggle for this.
Mankind is engaged in an eternal quest for that ‘something else' he hopes will bring him happiness, complete and unending. For those individual souls who have sought and found God, the search is over: He is that Something Else.
One who knows the all-pervasive Self as his own self by experiencing it is different from one without direct experience. People usually only talk about it without having any personal experience, but one who has direct experience does not talk much.
We are decorated with the ornaments of endless desires. They are around our necks — my neck, everyone’s neck. However, these ornaments are not visible to ordinary people, only to the wise. We have decorated ourselves with a garland of endless desires mistakenly thinking that we would be happy if we had a nice house, a nice job, and nice clothes.
Observe how calm your mind is after practicing kriya pranayama. The more pranayama you practice in the morning, the better. When the amount of daylight increases, if one is practicing more cycles of kriya pranayama, one will experience an increase in one’s body temperature. Why? Because kriya itself is a form of fire. Kriya generates inner fire and body temperature.
Death is not a blotting-out of existence, a final escape from life; nor is death the door to immortality. He who has fled his Self in earthly joys will not recapture It amidst the gossamer charms of an astral world. There he merely accumulates finer perceptions and more sensitive responses to the beautiful and the good, which are one. It is on the anvil of this gross earth that struggling man must hammer out the imperishable gold of spiritual identity.
Inspire all to do sadhana.
Dualism is the root of all suffering.
