Kriya Yoga Quotes
God, or Self, cannot be known through the senses. We are always engrossed in the material world with our five sense organs and we are forgetting Him.
Even in the world, the yogi who faithfully discharges his responsibilities, without personal motive or attachment, treads the sure path of enlightenment.
Meditation is like giving a hug to ourselves, getting in touch with that awesome reality in us. While meditating we feel a deep sense of intimacy with God, a love that is inexplicable.
Right now He is pulling you lightly. But one day when the mind and body are able to tolerate it, God will pull you forcefully and all your attachment and bondage will disappear immediately.
Proper visualization by the exercise of concentration and willpower enables us to materialize thoughts, not only as dreams or visions in the mental realm, but also as experiences in the material realm.
As God talked with Arjuna, so will He talk with you. As He lifted up the spirit and consciousness of Arjuna, so will He uplift you. As He granted Arjuna supreme spiritual vision, so will He confer enlightenment on you.
Ordinary love is selfish, darkly rooted in desires and satisfactions. Divine love is without condition, without boundary, without change. The flux of the human heart is gone forever at the transfixing touch of pure love.
It is better to meditate a little bit with depth than to mediate long with the mind running here and there. If you do not make an effort to control the mind it will go on doing as it pleases, no matter how long you sit to meditate.
Be afraid of nothing. Hating none, giving love to all, feeling the love of God, seeing His presence in everyone, and having but one desire - for His constant presence in the temple of your consciousness - that is the way to live in this world.
Why forgive one who wrongs you? Because if you angrily strike back you misrepresent your own divine soul nature-you are no better than your offender. But if you manifest spiritual strength you are blessed, and the power of your righteous behavior will also help the other person to overcome his misunderstanding.
Only desire is not enough.
The first part of the verse says, ittham prakalpite dehe: “in this body that was planned before birth by you,” planned by your own karma. Jiva vasati sarvagah: “the individual who is worthy, capable, of going everywhere.” After contemplating these words, should we doubt our situation in life? We plan our lives before birth, as well as our bodies, our environments, and our situations and circumstances. Therefore, we should accept our situation and graciously assume our responsibilities.
Stillness is the altar of spirit.
Avoid all forms of laziness in your sadhana.
Success is hastened or delayed by one's habits.
Remember that you are to learn from one and all.
Medicine has its limitations, Life Force has none.
Calmness is the living breath of God's immortality in you.
What you lose in the world will not be a loss to your soul.
Practice daily, and through the grace of God, you will be free.
Change yourself and you have done your part in changing the world
Restless is manifestation, and Sthirattva, Tranquility, is Lord Siva.
Applying body, mind, and speech in action is called Ahingsa (Non-violence).
