If you endeavor to embrace the Way through much learning, the Way will not be understood. If you observe the Way with simplicity of heart, great indeed is this Way.

From innumerable complexities we must grow to simplicity; we must become simple in our inward life and in our outward needs.

Because of the risks of unrestrained desire and greed we need to cultivate contentment and simplicity.

Simplicity is the key to a fulfilled life.

When the faith is strong enough, it is sufficient just to be. Its a journey towards simplicity, towards quietness, towards a kind of joy that is not in time. Its a journey that has taken us from primary identification with our body and our psyche, on to an identification with God, and ultimately beyond identification.

Truthfulness, chastity, simplicity, and equanimity are the four pillars of a pious life.

Our Lord needs from us neither great deeds nor profound thoughts. Neither intelligence nor talents. He cherishes simplicity.
