Time Quotes
As you all become more intimate with Me, with opportunities to come closer to Me, all that is good and bad within you comes out in sparks, as it were... all the impressions of the past, the accumulations of past sanskaras - of all illusory things, which includes both good and bad - come out. My proximity, the intimacy with Me, just changes that mass of sanskaras, and sometimes you find sparks of good and bad flying out.
From a Buddhist point of view, the actual experience of death is very important. Although how or where we will be reborn is generally dependent on karmic forces, our state of mind at the time of death can influence the quality of our next rebirth. So at the moment of death, in spite of the great variety of karmas we have accumulated, if we make a special effort to generate a virtuous state of mind, we may strengthen and activate a virtuous karma, and so bring about a happy rebirth.
The souls of people, on their way to Earth-life, pass through a room full of lights; each takes a taper - often only a spark - to guide it in the dim country of this world. But some souls, by rare fortune, are detained longer - have time to grasp a handful of tapers, which they weave into a torch. These are the torch-bearers of humanity - its poets, seers and saints, who lead and lift the race out of darkness, toward the light. They are the law-givers and saviors, the light-bringers, way-showers and truth-tellers, and without them, humanity would lose its way in the dark.
The richness of a moment comes when it's both full and empty at the same time. The truth is, we live simultaneously in time and timelessness.
When you are fully present, you are truly living; the rest of the time, you are merely existing.
The True One was there from time immemorial. He is there today and ever there you will find. He never died nor will he ever die. ... Look within, you will see Him there enshrined.
Too much of this book knowledge just leads to doubts and confusion. You get too many doubts asking 'what is this?' and 'what is that?', and you waste a lot of time in this conflict.
Sometimes I feel I am everything, I call that Love. Sometimes I feel I am nothing, I call that Wisdom. Between Love and Wisdom my life continuously flows.
Time is continuously passing; take full advantage of each moment.
Be tolerant. Behold the unity of all faiths, cults, creeds and religions. Respect the views, opinions and sentiments of all.
When we become truly ourselves, we just become a swinging door, and we are purely independent of, and at the same time, dependent upon everything.
Don't limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time.
Awakening is possible only for those who seek it and want it, for those who are ready to struggle with themselves and work on themselves for a very long time and very persistently in order to attain it.
People who don't see their own nature and imagine they can practice thoughtlessness all the time are liars and fools.
Most carnivorous animals do not eat every day—definitely not three times a day! They know the food they eat moves very slowly through their tracts.
Do not think of yourself as a small, compressed, suffering thing. Think of yourself as graceful and expanding, no matter how unlikely it may seem at the time.
In ancient times the greatest of the prophets were great musicians.
Our lives are but specks of dust falling through the fingers of time. Like sands of the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
Why think of liberation at some future time? Liberation is in the little things, here and now.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
If you can hold on to this knowledge 'I am Self' at all times, no further practice is necessary.
The most important relationship we can all have is the one you have with yourself, the most important journey you can take is one of self-discovery. To know yourself, you must spend time with yourself, you must not be afraid to be alone. Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
Evil can never survive, though for a time it may seem to triumph. It is only a question of our endurance and patience.
