When we dance, the journey itself is the point, as when we play music the playing itself is the point. And exactly the same thing is true in meditation. Meditation is the discovery that the point of life is always arrived at in the immediate moment.

Money should not be in the hands of individuals; otherwise it will create this problem of being burdened with guilt. And money can make people's lives very rich. If the commune owns the money, the commune can give you all the facilities that you need, all the education, all creative dimensions of life.

As you find your soul-reservoir of peace, less and less controversy will be able to afflict your life.

The more we can give in our silent prayer, the more we can give in our active life.

Through our karma we made some plans and acquired a body. We arrived in this world decorated with beautiful ornaments. What are the ornaments? It is said, anadi vasana malah: “You have a garland, a necklace, made of desires without beginning.” Vasana means “desires” and anadi means “without beginning”; thus, we have a beautiful necklace of desires without beginning as well as endless ambition. But this garland is not new. Anadimeans that from time immemorial we have been carrying the vasanas, the desires, life after life.

God is the life behind your life, the sight behind your eyes, the taste behind your tongue...

When effort is needed, effort will appear. When effortlessness becomes essential, it will assert itself. You need not push life about. Just flow with it and give yourself completely to the task of the present moment.

When you make Service your sole purpose in life, it eliminates fear, focuses your mind and gives you meaning.

Whatever your life's pursuit -- art, poetry, sculpture, music, whatever your occupation may be -- you can be as spiritual as clergy, always living a life of praise.

Krishna is my life, my breath, my everything. Without Him, I am nothing.
