Did Buddha teach that the many was real and the ego unreal, while orthodox Hinduism regards the One as the real, and the many as unreal?" the Swami was asked. "Yes", answered the Swami. "And what Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and I have added to this is, that the Many and the One are the same Reality, perceived by the same mind at different times and in different attitudes.

The prana that was residing in that body has left it. You never knew that person’s real identity. You did not know it while they were here and you still don’t know it now that they are gone. Tell me, who really died? That which appeared to have left is, in reality, eternally present. Do not grieve. Rather, you should be grieving for yourself – because you are not recognizing the real and are crying for the unreal. Be free from worries and emotion about that soul’s onward journey.

But my dear man, reality is only a Rorschach ink-blot, you know.

The reality is within. A true seeker is one who is seeking to find the reality and truth from within. Such sincere seekers are rare.

Self-inquiry is the process and the goal also. 'I am' is the goal and the final reality. To hold to it with effort is self-inquiry. When spontaneous and natural it is realization.

The reality of my life cannot die for I am indestructible consciousness.

Your very existence is evidence of your innate creativity. In every moment you are co-creating your reality through your thoughts, your intentions, your words and your actions.

This very consciousness that you have right now, this awareness itself, is the absolute reality … This very self, this Self itself, is the absolute reality.

You want to be free as the ego, but you need to be free FROM the ego. To be free from it is to understand its unreality.

The reality is that we are safe and we have the capacity to enjoy the wonders of life in the present moment. When we recognize that our suffering is based on images instead of current reality, then living happily in the present moment becomes possible right away.

As long as man is overpowered by the darkness of ignorance, he is the slave of Nature and must accept whatever comes as the fruit of his thoughts and deeds. When he strays into the path of unreality, the Sages declare that he destroys himself; because he who clings to the perishable body and regards it as his true Self must experience death many times.

Awareness neither dies nor is re-born. It is the changeless reality itself.

To find reality you must be real in the smallest daily action; there can be no deceit in the search for truth.

Even for a moment do not think that you are the body. Give yourself no name, no shape. In the darkness and the silence reality is found.

Time is only an idea. There is only the Reality. Whatever you think it is, it looks like that.

There is only one reality, but there are many ways that reality can be interpreted.

Not thinking about anything is zen. Once you know this, walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, everything you do is zen. To know that the mind is empty is to see the buddha.... Using the mind to reality is delusion. Not using the mind to look for reality is awareness. Freeing oneself from words is liberation.

There is no greater mystery than this, that we keep seeking reality though in fact we are reality. We think that there is something hiding reality and that this must be destroyed before reality is gained. How ridiculous! A day will dawn when you will laugh... at all your past efforts. That which will be the day you laugh is also here and now.

I am never lonely. A lonely person is one who is not aware of the complete fullness within. When you become dependent on something outside without having awareness of the reality within you, then you will indeed be lonely. The whole search for enlightenment is to seek within, to become aware that you are complete in yourself. You are perfect. You don’t need any externals. No matter what happens in any situation, you need never be lonely.

Keep wondering whether your waking reality is a dream and you will wake up to the real.

In truth you cannot understand the nature of My Reality, either today, or even after a thousand years of steady austerity or ardent inquiry, even if all mankind joins in that effort.

There is no greater mystery than this, that we keep seeking reality though in fact we are reality.

The key point is kindness. With kindness one will have inner peace. Through inner peace, world peace can one day be a reality.
