Gurus do not bestow Self-knowledge and spiritual wisdom on everybody; they carefully select students.

The more sincerity is developed, the greater share of truth you will have. And however much sincerity a person may have, there is always a gap to fill, for we live in the midst of falsehood, and we are always apt to be carried away by this world of falsehood. Therefore we must never think we are sincere enough, and we must always be on our guard against influences which may carry us away from that sincerity which is the bridge between ourselves and our ideal. No study, no meditation is more helpful than sincerity itself.

Life is to grow in knowledge, love, and perfection. Be perfect through sincere effort. Rest not until you attain that state of perfection.

Smiling away your troubles requires a clear conscience that harbors no insincerity.

For since there is no real 'way' to sartori, the way you are following makes very little difference.

The call for a sincere gift of self is the fullest way to realize our personal freedom.

I teach you both effort and effortlessness, because unless you attain to effortless-effort, unless you attain to active passivity, unless you attain to a singing-silence - they look paradoxical - unless you attain to an unmoving dance, you have not attained.

By sincerity, a man gains physical, mental and linguistic straightforwardness and harmonious tendency; that is, congruence of speech and action.

Thou learnest no secret until thou knowest friendship, since to the unsound no heavenly knowledge enters.

A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.

Ignorance itself is without a doubt a sin for those who do not wish to understand; for those who, however, cannot understand, it is the punishment of sin.
