Kriya Yoga Quotes
The world and its pleasures are temporary. With this in mind, continue your sadhana.
By the practice of Pranayama, ignorance is dispelled and Knowledge of the Self reveals.
When you learn to get along with yourself, you will know how to get along with everybody.
Happiness lies in making others happy, in forsaking self-interest to bring joy to others.
Animals are enchanted by music; if man is not attracted by the sound of OM, then he is an ass.
Can wave be separated from ocean? No.
Coincidentally, or by God’s will, both women died at the same time, one thinking about the dead cockroach, the other one thinking of God. Now both were taken for judgment before Yama, the lord of death, and Chitragupta, his messenger, where they would be told who would receive what and who would go where.
Even though the gopis had obeyed, they still had much doubt. How did the river part if what they were saying was not the truth? Indeed, the answer is that it was all a matter of “doership.” If your mind says, “I have done it,” you must receive the result of your action. But remember, it is crucial to understand that “doership” comes from the inside, not by saying it with the mouth. If one has the state of knowledge that all work is being done by the body and the senses, one is free from the consequences.
Suppose a soccer match is played between Germany and the Netherlands. During a soccer match, you can see the excitement from people in both countries. Although it is the karma of twenty-two players, eleven from each team, it affects the lives of millions. One year I happened to be in the Netherlands when a soccer tournament was in progress. I was at the airport wearing my orange monk’s attire. Suddenly two men who worked in the airport restaurant looked at me and shouted, “Holland! Holland!” (Orange is the color of the national soccer team of the Netherlands). I smiled and said, “India…I’m from India.” They both laughed and said, “India has a great orange color.” The karma of a few people can affect many.
When you experience ill health, instead of practicing more Kriya, keep your mind focused on the chakras.
It is my sincere blessing that you will hold onto the feet of the Lord and have firmness in your sadhana.
Study the scriptures, which increase your depth and understanding and encourage you to be steady in your practice.
Have only love in your heart for others. The more you see the good in them, the more you will establish good in yourself.
Inner culture is essential. It is the path of soul culture. Discipline your life. Bring more love and devotion into your heart.
When one continues to refine brown sugar, finally it becomes white. Similarly, continued Kriya practice brings Pranayama to perfection.
One who does not see Kutastha (the inner Self between the eyebrows) with the help of Guru's advice in this physical body is a blind person.
A sincere and worthy teacher is the real guide, whereas a materialistic, greedy person is like a blind man unable to show others the right way.
When one sincerely strives for inner fulfilment for a good period of time, one progresses in the path of perfection. Then one attains self-realization.
When the breath is tranquil, it is the state of Kumbhaka. When one sees Oneself, it is called Brahmajnana, "the Knowledge of Brahma, the ultimate Self."
Looking at the middle of the forehead, which is above the nose and eyebrows, is a bit difficult; if one stabilizes on this, he attains the state of Samadhi.
Affirm divine calmness and peace, and send out only thoughts of love and goodwill if you want to live in peace and harmony. Never get angry, for anger poisons your system.
The deeper the Self-realization of a man, the more he influences the whole universe by his subtle spiritual vibrations, and the less he himself is affected by the phenomenal flux.
Release for constructive purposes the power you already have, and more will come. Move on your path with unflinching determination, using all the attributes of success. Tune yourself with the creative power of spirit.
