Correcting oneself is correcting the whole world. The Sun is simply bright. It does not correct anyone. Because it shines, the whole world is full of light. Transforming yourself is a means of giving light to the whole world.

Your duty is to pray for the welfare of the world and to work for it as far as it lies in your power.

Burn worldly love, rub the ashes and make ink of it, make the heart the pen, the intellect the writer, write that which has no end or limit.

Dissolving the name is awareness. Dissolving the form is meditation. The world is name and form. Bliss transcends name and form.

You can be effective in this world without stress.

If one's mind has peace, the whole world will appear peaceful.

If you want to change the world, be that change.

He who always thinks himself as weak will never become strong, but he who knows himself to be a lion, rushes out from the worlds meshes, as a lion from its cage.

I am optimistic that humanity is going to make it, that humanity is going to reach, finally, a new state of consciousness which will then create a different kind of world.

When we transcend ourselves, we do not compete with others. We do not compete with the rest of the world, but at every moment we compete with ourselves.

The power that dominates cannot solve world problems. The power that loves can solve world problems.

We see the world piece by piece, as the sun, the moon, the animal, the tree; but the whole, of which these are shining parts, is the soul.

There has never been a prison built by man that people haven’t figured out how to escape. But what kind of prison Krishna has created…no walls, no guards and although everyone is suffering in this world no one wants to get out.

Look what is happening in the world - we are being conditioned by society, by the culture we live in, and that culture is the product of man. There is nothing holy, or divine, or eternal about culture.

Peace is our inner wealth. This inner wealth we can bring to the fore only when we expect nothing from the outer world and everything from the Supreme Pilot within us, at God's Choice Hour.

There is nothing in the world that does not speak to us. Everything and everybody reveals its own nature, character and secrets continuously. The more open our inner senses, the more we understand the voice of everything.

Who is a fool? He who thinks that the world has any regard for him and is really in need of him.

The Lord’s grace is a river that washes away the stains of worldly desires.

I am not of this body, not of this world; I am of Krishna, and Krishna is of me.

The point of meditation is not merely to be an honest or good person in the conventional sense, trying only to maintain our security. We must begin to become compassionate and wise in the fundamental sense, open and relating to the world as it is.
